Our journey towards lower-impact production
All Nordic Sleep pillows and duvets are produced at our factory in Skive, Denmark. The facility covers 6,000 m², and the environmental impact from the production process itself is relatively limited compared to the impact associated with the materials used in our products.
Our manufacturing process primarily relies on electricity and small amounts of water. This means the main environmental impacts from production relate to electricity and heating, transport of raw materials and finished goods, and the waste generated during manufacturing.
Our goal is to reduce impact across all these areas. As part of this effort, we have actively gathered input from those closest to the production process—our skilled employees.
All electricity used in production is certified CO₂-neutral and sourced from renewable energy. Our manufacturing process is highly resource-efficient: 98.5% of all materials are incorporated into the final products. In addition, we have eliminated excess packaging materials from suppliers—everything is reused or recycled.

* minimising production waste and residual materials
* reducing the environmental impact of transport and business travel through more responsible choices
Our targets for 2024
We aim to:
* transition to 100% renewable electricity and heating sources
* ensure that all residual production materials are recycled
* collaborate exclusively with transport partners working towards lower environmental impact solutions
Progress in 2023
* only 1.5% of residual production materials were not recycled
* we introduced heating efficiency initiatives that reduced natural gas consumption by 25% compared with 2021 levels
* we began monitoring CO₂ emissions from transport activities
